Welcome to the Website of the Newcomers' Club of San Mateo County
|
|
We are a 501 (c) 3, non-profit organization, composed of residents who live in San Mateo County.
The Club as we know it was founded by Ida Lindau in 1949 as the San Mateo Newcomer’s Club.
In 1957, 15 alumnae of the original club founded the San Mateo Newcomer’s Club Auxiliary (SAMNA), and in 1989, the two clubs merged. In 1994, the Foster City Newcomer’s Club also merged. In 1998 the name was changed to the Newcomers' Club of San Mateo County.
Why should you join us?
Because we are a friendly, dynamic, ever-growing organization with many fun activities to offer! Because everyone is welcome.
You will make new friends, learn new activities, and feel good about yourself, knowing that through the Club's philanthropic endeavors, you are lending a helping hand to others.
